On 22 January 2024, Cong Peiwu, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Canada, together with Zhao Na, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy, and Wu Tong, Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Division, visited Aplas Canada, subsidiary of CNTY. Zhang Qinglin, General Manager of Aplas, warmly received the visiting team and expressed his sincere welcome to Ambassador Cong and his party.
In the meeting room, Zhang introduced to Ambassador Cong the history of Aplas, the current status of development and innovative achievements, especially the role of Aplas in CNTY’s dual-engine strategy of "environmental protection + new energy", as well as our proprietary plasma torch prototype.
Ambassador Cong highly recognized the achievements made by Aplas and expressed his expectation for the future development of Aplas. In addition, Ambassador Cong expressed great interest in CNTY's GESS technology, inquired in detail about the technical fundamentals of GESS and the investment and construction progress of CNTY's GESS projects. He also emphasised Chinese government's commitment to combating climate change and the great importance it attaches to new energy, especially to storage.
Ambassador Cong encouraged Aplas to strive to be an outstanding representative of Chinese enterprises in Canada, to maintain confidence in the development of the motherland, to continue to actively fulfil its social responsibilities, and to make greater contributions to the development and deepening of the Sino-Canadian relations.
General Manager Zhang expressed his sincere gratitude to Ambassador Cong for his attention and support, and said that Aplas will continue to give full play to its own advantages and actively participate in the cooperation between China and Canada, in order to promote the economic and trade exchanges between the two sides and to facilitate the green development of the world.
